Redirect WordPress Feeds To Feedburner With htaccess

Feedburner In this snippet we are going to show you how you can remove one of the most popular plugins you would use on your WordPress blog.

Today we are going to remove the WordPress plugin FD Feedburner Plugin for WordPress.

This plugin will redirect your default WordPress feed URLs to your Feedburner URL. It does this seamlessly without the need to modify templates, setup new hidden feeds, modify .htaccess files, or asking users to migrate to a new feed.

You can easily do this with htaccess, all you have to do is copy the below code into your htaccess file and it will redirect all URLs to www.example.com/feed to your feedburner URL.

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
 RewriteEngine on
 RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} !FeedBurner    [NC]
 RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} !FeedValidator [NC]
 RewriteRule ^feed/?([_0-9a-z-]+)?/?$ http://feeds2.feedburner.com/Paulundcouk [R=302,NC,L]

Because of adding this snippet you can now remove the WordPress plugin to do the redirection, removing plugins should speed up your blog.
